T.E. Woods Construction, Inc., has been building homes in the Blue Springs, MO, area for over 30 years. We are both a production style builder and a custom home builder. Our size allows us to gain efficiencies and discounts from suppliers and sub-contractors that other smaller builders may not receive. Yet, at the same time we are small enough to give you, the home owner, the personal attention you want and deserve while building your new home.

In our production homes, customers choose from our stock of home plans that are built to our specs, you then have the selections of outside color, flooring selections, brick (if applicable), tile colors, deck size, and a number of other selections that you make with our interior designer. With our experience in both production and custom housing our production houses often incorporate features previously only found in custom homes.

A custom home plan is bid on a per job basis. The custom home division of T.E. Woods Construction, Inc. works closely with the customer and the subs to make sure the home is exactly what the customer wanted. Custom homes typically cost 10% to 20% more than our production housing. A custom home is typically only built one time to the exact specifications of the consumer.

Tom Woods, President of T.E. Woods Construction, Inc. has been engaged in the building and construction industry for more than 30 years. This gives him hands on knowledge of what goes into a home and how it should be built. You can also benefit from the leadership experience and economic knowledge that comes from Tom's serving as President of the Greater Kansas City Home Builders and a number of committees for the National Association of Home Builders. Some of the committees include: Single Family Custom, Research, Education, Affiliates, Build Pac, and Home Builders Institute.

Tom has also served as Chairman of Single Family Custom, as well as Chairman of the Board of Build PAC and Home Builders Institute, the educational arm of the National Association of Home Builders. In 1995 Tom was selected "Builder of the Year" for the Greater Kansas City Area, and in 1998 Professional Builder Magazine recognized Tom as one of the top home builders in the nation.
